OneGuild, formerly known as the Peter Sheehan Diabetes Care Foundation (PSDCF), played a key role in expanding scientific dialogue at the International Cuba Congress: Controlling Diabetes and Its More Severe Complications. This landmark event, held December 6–9, 2016, in Havana and Varadero, brought together experts from Cuba, the U.S., and beyond to share research, discuss advancements, and strengthen global efforts in diabetes prevention and treatment.
For the first time, OneGuild facilitated the participation of a distinguished U.S. delegation of speakers, breaking barriers to direct scientific exchange between U.S. and Cuban experts. As part of this effort, we organized as well a Diabetes meeting session within the Congress, providing a dedicated forum for knowledge-sharing on cutting-edge research, clinical approaches, and collaborative opportunities in diabetes care and limb preservation.
By fostering these cross-border connections, OneGuild reaffirmed its commitment to breaking barriers in scientific collaboration and advancing solutions for diabetes and its complications. Building on this foundation, we remain committed to facilitating international exchanges that accelerate innovation in diabetes care.
