The winner and finalists will present their research in a Lightning Showcase session at the 2027 edition of the OneGuild Forum on Diabetes Innovation & Limb Preservation — a global virtual event featuring keynotes, expert panels, and curated Q&A with leading scientists, clinicians, and industry leaders in the field. Presentations will remain available on-demand on OneGuild's digital platforms for a minimum of 12 months, extending visibility well beyond the live event.

Finalists join an international cohort of past Peter Sheehan Young Innovator Award recipients spanning nearly a decade of research excellence. To apply, candidates must submit:
A research abstract (450 words max). Applicants may submit more than one abstract; each must feature unpublished original research with the applicant as first author.
A brief bio (200 words max) including educational background, current position and affiliation, and a summary of research interests.
Submitted work must be unpublished and not under review elsewhere at the time of submission.
